This is a story about journeys.

Over the next six years, the pair painstakingly scouted locations, refined the script, assembled the cast and crew they wanted, and secured the funding they needed. In September of 1997, after frantic weeks filled with last-minute obstacles, Rupert's Land began filming.

Jonathan Tammuz notes: "The most challenging aspect of this production was ... shooting in the allotted time [and] budget. It's a very complex script ... [so] that was the most challenging aspect of it - to get the quality. It's completely character-based, it's ... very dense."
